The Two-Dimensional Shadow is a collection of digitized personal information scraped from websites and social media platforms where users interface with one another. Concerned with the lack of privacy among an increasingly technology infused society, the work focuses on how information is collected unbeknownst to consumers, and exploited by corporate and governmental agencies. The jumbled assemblages are an accumulation of data twisted, manipulated and restructured to represent our understanding and lack of control over the technology used to track and gather our personal information. The geometric, pixelated, and often incongruous images suggest a paradigm shift that examines the datafication of our electronic selves and the technological trails we leave behind.
